STUDIO NORDQUIST
STUDIO NORDQUIST

I founded Studio Nordquist to do the work I love the most - designing spaces and buildings in close collaboration with the people who will be living in them. I'm excited to launch this practice in the place I've called home for 16 years, and I look forward to hearing from you.
During more than 25 years with small to medium sized architecture firms, I have focused primarily on high end residential design. I'm always struck by the unexpected design inspiration that comes out of really listening to clients and crafting a process that fits their communication styles, priorities, and decision-making needs.
When I'm not practicing architecture, I'm a keen observer of textures and patterns in the natural and built world. This inevitably leads to a phone full of abstract photos (just ask me about my dog's fur) and lots of freehand sketching. I also actively enjoy open water swimming, making costumes (these are often sea themed, although even the water-friendly ones are hard to swim in), riding a bike, and traveling. Ideally, doing many of those things in combination.
